Company History

John Lewis began his working career in London, England first being employed as a sheet metal apprentice followed by earning his mechanical trade license after his experience repairing RAF airplanes during WWII.  In 1966, John emigrated to Canada with his wife and two children where he began working for a progressive food service company.  In 1983 he decided to open his own metal product fabrication business which he aptly named HML Manufacturing Ltd. after his beloved wife Helen.

Through fortitude, perseverence and very hard work, John and Helen built strong and lasting relationships with many customers based on three key principles; #1 – produce top quality products, #2 – provide excellent customer service and #3 – never compromise integrity.  To this day these principles remain the business mission and has contributed to the company’s steady growth and well deserved excellent reputation. Since 1990 John has continued to keep his head in the business while his son David has taken the leading role.  To make room for larger jobs, in 2010 David and John moved the business to a 33,000 square foot manufacturing facility and renamed the company Complete Stainless. With more space to accomodate larger jobs and more employees the business is well positioned to meet the needs of their customers, old and new.
